OUR VISION: Making Jesus Real.


VISION:  A word picture of our desired end state; what it looks like when we are who we are intended to be.  The vision allows people to see where we are going and decide if they will go with us.  Vision facilitates commitment.  Continually communicating the vision keeps us focused on our destination and helps us to avoid detours, wasted time, and wasted resources.  Without vision, the organization will perish! 


The Vision of Heritage Church: “Making Jesus Real” 


God’s vision for Heritage is that we be people and a church through which people experience the presence of Jesus and His Church—wherever we go.  This means that we operate in bold faith to allow Jesus to reveal Himself to us and through us; that we love others as He does.  It means that we pray in faith for the needs of people and that as He powerfully answers those prayers, they experience His reality and His presence.   


Ephesians 1:22-23 MSG At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence. 


MISSION: The mission is how we live out the vision.  The vision is where we are going; the mission is how we get there.  While many organizations may have the same vision, our mission is unique to Heritage.  Our mission is based on the people, the resources that God has given us and the location and context in which He has placed us. 

The Mission of Heritage Church is to:

GLORIFY God and love Him Passionately 

GROW people by loving and leading them to full maturity in Jesus 

GO out leading people to make Jesus real 


VALUES: Our values are the traits and characteristics on which we base our actions.  Our values define how we live together, how we interact with others, the tactics we use to execute our mission plans, and our attitudes.  Our values should be the filter through which we pass everything!

          -Excellence, Not Perfection
